I included him in the gallery composition that I'm slowly compiling in my entryway. He's mixed in with old family photos, Owen's Mona Lisa and other pieces of artwork.

So, of course, I HAD to bring her home. She looks like a Margaret, I think. I will add her to the ever growing mix in the entryway (as much as my mom disapproves) because I think they can't help but make you smile. Whether you're coming to or leaving my house, I hope everyone does so with a smile.
What about you? What collections do you have that are a bit on the quirky side? What in your home makes you smile?

I LOVE Margaret! She is a great addition to your collection. I collect vintage minature funiture...tin mostly. I adore minature anything and like to use it in unexpected places! Wonderful Entry Nia! Love, Jennifer
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should do a post on your miniatures Jennifer!! Miss you! Hope to be able to catch up in June. I won't have a booth, but I'll be around to help out friends who do.
ReplyDeleteWhat???? You found my portrait all the way up there? Hold on to it for me, I am coming. I have a weakness for cheap little silver plated bowls, esp. if they are old and have something kitschy on them. I have one that says "Winner of (can't remember name) Country Club Gold Tournament 1979". I don't know why, they just call to me.
ReplyDeleteHa ha Karen!! Gotta lOve anything old and engraved! Was the name something like Bitsy or Bunny?
DeleteLove this...and your entry looks great! I collect lots of things, stuff from the Seattle Worlds Fair, silver bowls, old scissors, big letter T's, matchbooks, and Steve and I collected old Matchbox cars. I think our little house keeps it all in check!
